Alex Lane is a multihyphenate who seeks to entertain, empower, educate and unite through his work.
As a performer, he apprenticed at several theater companies in Los Angeles, and also completed an Advanced Acting Program at RADA in London. Alex made his on-screen debut in a Superbowl commercial for Playstation (directed by the Oscar nominated director Bryan Buckley), and has since appeared in various TV shows, films and theater productions.
Alex graduated with Honors from Santa Monica College with a Degree in Film Studies. By then already an in demand screenwriter for hire for rewrites, he elevated his pedigree by becoming a freelance writer/producer who assisted in development, packaging and financing of various international film and TV projects for European and American producers and distributors. This led to co-producing Lionsgate's Blackwater Lane.
In 2023, he co-founded transmedia production company Puma In A Tank with Oleg Shardin. They produce commercial yet socially relevant films and TV shows, primarily focusing on thriller, horror, and sci-fi genres. Their projects include the globally released AI-themed sci-fi feature film DRAGN (directed by the BAFTA-nominated Peter Webber), the upcoming thriller feature film Speak Up, and the international crime-thriller series Thieves In Law, which Alex co-created, is co-writing, producing and co-starring in.
